Lula Zimmerman, 93, of Goshen, died Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2012, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born September 22, 1919 in Grabill to Ben and May (Juday) Zimmerman. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, infant Samuel Zimmerman, Sarah Esther Zimmerman, Dr. William Zimmerman and twin, Lois Kellogg. A member of People's Bible Church, Miss Zimmerman graduated from New Paris High School in 1938; Indiana Central College, Indianapolis in 1945 and she attended both Bethany Biblical Seminary, Chicago and Northwestern Bible School, Minneapolis. She also took a number of Moody Bible School correspondence courses. She served as a missionary to the Red Bird Mission, Kentucky from 1946 to 1950. From 1952 until her retirement in 1984, she served as Missionary Director for Child Evangelism and taught Bible Clubs for children. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012, service at People's Bible Church. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. Burial will follow in Solomon Creek Cemetery, Syracuse. Memorial contributions may be given to Child Evangelism Ministries.
