Lula Belle Hartman

Lula Belle Hartman, 76, of Goshen, died at her home Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014. She was born in Goshen on August. 18, 1938 to Allen and Marie (Stump) Lower. On June 9, 1956 she married Wayne Hartman Sr. in Goshen. He survives along with a daughter, Jeralyn (Robert) Herr, of Nappanee; three sons, Wayne (Julie) Hartman, Jr. of Fowler, Mark Hartman of Cromwell and Don (Tiffany) Hartman of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Steven) Ellis of Goshen and a brother, William Lower of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Allen Jr. and Larry. Mrs. Hartman retired from Johnson Controls in maintenance. She was a member of the DAV #15 Auxiliary and served as a den mother for Cub Scouts for many years. She also helped start Pony Tail Softball League. Friends may call Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Her nephew Rev. Gerald Floor will officiate. Cremation at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
