Luella Grieser Rupp, 90, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, January 8, 2008 at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been since August 2006. She was born in Leo, Indiana, to Henry and Emma (Yoder) Stuckey, on July 2, 1917. She married Cletus Grieser on May 19, 1939, in Leo. He died November 1, 1969. She then married Mahlon Rupp on February 4, 1980, in Leo. He died in February 2003. A homemaker, Mrs. Rupp was a member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church of Wauseon, Ohio. She is survived by five sons, Merlin (Mary) Grieser of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Dwight (Carol) Grieser of Goshen, Curtis (Connie) Grieser of Pueblo, Colorado, Bernard (Sherri) Grieser of Spencerville, and Don (Sena Fitzpatrick) Grieser of Pine Hill, New Mexico; two daughters, Rosalyn (Roger) Ledyard of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Lynette Slaubaugh of Goshen; three step-sons, Daryl (Polly) Rupp of Houston, Texas, Lynn (Karen) Rupp of Toledo, Ohio, and Larry (Rosemary) Rupp of Goshen; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, a son, Darwin; two brothers, Lavern and Jesse Stuckey; and four sisters, Delilah, Hermia, Violet, and Genevieve. A 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008 memorial service will be held in the West Clinton Mennonite Church in Wauseon, Ohio. There will be a private family burial in Leo Cemetery, Leo, Indiana with Pastor Paul Mowery of the Harvest Fellowship in Leo officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
