Luciano García Peña

Luciano García Peña, 88, of Goshen, died Monday, August 15, 2022, at home.

He was born January 1, 1934, in El Rancho de Cerro Colorado, Guanajuato, Mexico to Norberto García and Altagracia Peña.  He was from a family of 11 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by nine children, David García (Celia), Lucrecia García, Sara García (Rogelio), Armando García (Luz Maria), Alejandro García (Stella), Lazaro García, Leticia García (Daniel) and Hugo García (Esmeralda); 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister and three brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maria Sara de la Luz Yepez Flores and his sons José García, Guadalupe García and a daughter, Marta García.

An area resident since 1997, Mr. García was a farmer in Mexico.

A mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen, with an hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m.  Father Fernando Jimenez, family friend, will officiate.  Following the service family and friends may gather at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m.

Burial will be in Panteón Municipal, Conocido, Cortazar, Guanajuato, Mexico.
