Louise E. Hostetler

Louise E. Hostetler, 76, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, June 30, 2008, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, where she was admitted six days ago. She was born in Goshen on July 28, 1931, to Earl and Esther (Swihart) Phillips.  She married Harley S. Hostetler on April 29, 1950, in the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren in Goshen.  He survives. A lifelong resident of Goshen, Mrs. Hostetler was a member of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren where she served as organist for many years.  She was also a member of the Evening Exchange Club where she had served as secretary.  She volunteered for many years at CAPS. Mrs. Hostetler worked as office manager for 17 years at the Federal Land Bank and then as an administrative assistant for the Members’ Financial Services at Farm Bureau Credit Union.  After her retirement she delivered flowers for Goshen Floral. She is survived by her husband, Harley; two daughters, Marsha (Doug) Lamb and Lynn (Bill) Nisley, both of Goshen; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosemary Williams and Erdene Mishler, both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Steffen. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Norm Replogle of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren and Licensed Minister Tim Yoder, long time family friend will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to West Goshen Church of the Brethren or CAPS.
