Louise A. Burkhead

Louise A. Burkhead, 85, of Goshen died Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born May 9, 1935 in New Buffalo, New York to Archie and Maude (Miller) Byler.

On December 19, 1953 she married Frank Burkhead in Angola.  He died August 31, 1996.

Survivors include five children, Doug Burkhead and Bonnie Fuentes, both of Elkhart, Terry Burkhead of Goshen, Norma Easterday of LaGrange and Ann (Stan) Eash of Richmond, Virginia; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eldon (Pam) Byler of LaGrange.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jim and Roger Burkhead; five brothers, Samuel, David, Richard, Robert and Gaylord Byler; and two sisters, Delta Basile and Lucille Torrance.

Mrs. Burkhead retired from Penn Johnson Controls after 42 years of service.  She enjoyed and was a very competitive bingo player.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
