Goshen-Lorraine Langenhop, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Elkhart Hospice House after a brief illness.
She was born April 19, 1929 in Bronx, New York to John and Christine (Siewert) McGhee.
On August 18, 1950 she married John Langenhop in Queens, New York.
He survives along with a son, Thomas (Kathy) Langenhop of Elkhart; two daughters, Virginia (Ronald) Hamme of Elizabethville, Pennsylvania and Joan (Don) Bixby of Peru, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Fritz, Joel, Jennie, Julia, Daniel, Ruthie and Esther and five great-grandchildren with two expected.
She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Elkhart and also the Child Evangelism Fellowship program. Mrs. Langenhop enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, sewing, and playing cards with friends. She also volunteered at Greencroft Goshen.
She worked as a nurse in several specialty areas.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 1 until the 3 p.m. funeral service at First Baptist Church of Elkhart, 53953 C.R. 17, Bristol. Rev. John Blodgett will officiate.
A private burial will take place Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Center for Hospice Care, First Baptist Church of Elkhart or Greencroft Foundation.First Baptist Church
