Lorraine Marceta Hite

Lorraine Marceta Hite, 89, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born December 24, 1931 in Goshen to Vern L. and Mary (Price) Schrock.

On June 24, 1951 she married Harold R. Hite.  He died June 22, 2001.

She is survived by a son, Steve (Joy) Hite of Goshen; five grandchildren, Brian Hite of Cromwell, Phillip (Susan) Hite of Puyallup, Washington, and Jessica, Dustin and Sabrina Graber, all of Florida; six great-grandchildren, Carter, Adam, Joshua, Oliver, Emily and Cora; and a brother, Glenwood “Jake” Schrock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her daughter, Debra Graber and two brothers, Clifford and John Schrock.

A lifelong Goshen resident, Lorraine was a stay-at-home mom and later helped Harold with Hite Refrigeration in Goshen.  They wintered in Sebring, Florida for several years, enjoying the weather and their many friends there.  They enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles to Alaska and back twice.  After Harold’s passing Lorraine traveled to Australia and New Zealand.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
