Loretta M. Reynolds, 88, of Goshen died Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born December 24, 1935 in Goshen to Floyd and Almira (Stepp) Hayes.
On June 7, 1953 she married Clarence “Wally” Reynolds in Goshen.
He survives along with two daughters, Cathy (Eli) Miller and Patty (Jan) Yoder, both of Goshen; six grandchildren, Angela (Jason) Power, Christie Miller, Matt (Hayley) Getz, Lance (Wendy) Yoder, Andrea (Derek) Yoder and Stephanie (Ben) Hershberger; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Jean Ray and Patricia Ann Hayes; and a brother, Floyd V. Hayes, Jr.
A 1953 graduate of Goshen High School, Loretta was a member of Goshen First Church, formerly First United Methodist Church.
She worked at the Elkhart County Offices, The Goshen News, Attorney Ray Eberhard Law Office, and served as a Lay Associate at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
Loretta enjoyed knitting, reading, playing Bridge, working in her flower gardens and volunteering at her church.
Visitation will be Friday, September 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A 10:30 a.m. funeral service will be held Saturday at Goshen First Church. Pastor Diana Siegel and Rev. Tim Yoder will officiate.
Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date at Violett Cemetery.
