Loretta M. Creakbaum, 80, of Goshen died Wednesday afternoon, March 10, 2010, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, where she had been a three years and in failing health the last six weeks. She was born July 1, 1929, in Warsaw to Everett and Ona Marie (Johnson) Todd.  On December 20, 1952, she married Rex D. Creakbaum in Angola.  He preceded her in death on July 22, 1996. A Goshen resident since 1952, Mrs. Creakbaum was a member of the Goshen V.F.W. Auxiliary.  She enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies and was well known for her tasty canned fruits and vegetables. She is survived by two granddaughters, Lori High of Elkhart, and Jennifer (Randall) Smith of Edwardsburg, Michigan; a step-granddaughter, Tina (Randy) Alpine of Bristol; five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. High on January 29, 2008; and two brothers, Claude and Harold Derry. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m.  Rev. James Shock of the First Baptist Church, Goshen, will officiate.   Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Violet Cemetery, Goshen.  Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
