Loren Keith Julien

Loren Keith Julien, 77, of Goshen, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 11, 2015, at his home. He was born May 12, 1938 in Edon, Ohio to George and Emmadale (Kinnison) Julien. On November 3, 1979 he married Arlene Doris (Petersheim) Grewe in Goshen. She survives along with four daughters, Debra (Bryce) Eller of Port Arthur, Texas, Diana Sims, Denton of Texas, Dawn (Patrick) Woods of Goshen, and Ronda (Richard) Ward of Owings, Maryland; four sons, Douglas (Carrie) Julien of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Darren Julien of London, England, Rick (JoAnn) Grewe of Goshen, and Randy (Michelle) Grewe of Middlebury; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Robert) Agley of Monticello, and his companion dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry Kent Julien; a sister, Kolleen Lynn Julien and a stillborn sister. A 1956 graduate of Edon High School Keith was a lifelong farmer. In addition, he worked for Stonestreet Gravel Company, and then owned Shipshewana Seed & Supply and Topeka Seed & Supply. Later he worked for Cargill Feed Co. in sales, where he retired. After retirement he worked for AJP (Brunk Corp.) Keith always enjoyed his children and family. He played and enjoyed all sports including hunting in Colorado, Alaska, and fishing with his friends at Stone Lake. He loved woodworking and wood cutting. Keith enjoyed frequenting the Hilltop Restaurant for coffee and fish stories and working behind the counter at Old Hoosier Meats. He loved traveling and spending time at Julien's Auction's in Beverly Hills. Keith was a 30 year member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ where he served as head trustee was also a member of the Middlebury Men's Club. He is loved and will be missed by many. Friends may call Friday, November 13, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A Saturday, November 14, 2015, funeral service will be conducted at Grace Community Church starting at 10 a.m. Pastor Tom Julien, cousin, and Rev. Linda Sue Hewitt, Plymouth United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorial donations may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice or Plymouth United Church of Christ.
