Loraine V. Phebus

Loraine V. Phebus, 79, of Goshen, died Friday morning, February 10, 2006, at her home.  She had been ill since March 2005.   She was born November 26, 1926, in Goshen, to Fred and Sarah (Shidler) Huber.  On September 21, 1947, at the Goshen City Church of the Brethren, she married Delbert Phebus.  He died December 2, 1988.   Mrs. Phebus, a 1944 Goshen High School graduate, was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren.  She enjoyed being a grandma.   She is survived by three daughters, Diana (Tony) Linthicum of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Linda (Ed) Hepner and Lori Phebus, both of Goshen; a son, Dennis (Sandra) Phebus of New Paris, 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.  Also surviving are a sister, Evelyn Webb of LaGrange and two brothers, Mel (Joan) Huber and Stanley (Mary) Huber, both of Goshen.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, four brothers, Charles, Calvin, Orris and Art Huber.   Friends may call 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 15 at the funeral home.   An 11:00 a.m., service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Jeffrey York, grandson-in-law, will officiate with Ed Hepner assisting.   Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Goshen Care at Home Hospice Program.
