Lois Evelyn Wiggins, 94, of Osceola, formerly of Goshen, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the home of her daughter, Kathleen.
She was born September 15, 1930 to Clarence and Portia (Mote) Paulus in Montgomery County, Ohio.
On November 24, 1956 she married Harold G. Wiggins.
He survives along with three children, Kathy (Jim) Tormey, Becky Renkema and Cindy (Scott) Kardatzke; seven grandchildren, Paul (Nicole) Tormey, Kelsey Tormey, Jeremy (Denae) Tormey, Leah Renkema, Drew Renkema, Josh (Megan) Kardatzke, and Ali Kardatzke; five great grandchildren; Kaia Curran, June and Ellie and soon to be baby boy Kardatzke and Lev Tormey; and a brother, Marvin Paulus of Arcanum, Ohio.
Lois enjoyed being “honorary Grandma Lois” to many children.
Lois was in the second graduating class of Bethel University. She worked at Wright Patterson AFB, Nebraska State house, as a receptionist for OBGYN Dr. Ramona Middleton, and was “bookkeeper extraordinaire” for Wiggins Service Center.
She taught Sunday School preschool 30 years at Goshen First Church. For many years she held a “coffee/breakfast ministry” at Steak and Shake for friends and acquaintances. She was beloved by any who came across her path for her genuine Faith, selflessness, love, devotion, ready smile and wonderful sense of humor.
A private burial will take place prior to the 1 p.m. celebration of life service Wednesday, February, 12, 2025 at Goshen First Church. Pastor Jim Tormey will officiate. There is no formal visitation; her celebration of life will be followed by a light reception at Goshen First Church.
