Lois Royce

On Saturday morning, March 2, 2024, Lois “me-me” Royce’s battle with cancer ended. She was surrounded by her loving family. She requested no funeral or viewing; a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Lois was born in Goshen on May 3, 1959 to Claude and Frances (Kehr) Stickler. On May 2, 1981 she married the love of her life, David Allen Royce. In 1983 they welcomed their greatest treasure and only child, Megan Royce.

She left behind a brother Clyde (Reva) Stickler, and four sisters; Diana “Sue” (Kip) Heiliger, Claudia (Larry) Gill, Connie (Jeffery) Knebel and Sharon (Steve Crouse) Stickler. Also left with cherished memories are several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donnie Drake and Claude Stickler, Jr.

Lois spent many years at Goshen Rubber, Syracuse Rubber, GKI, TriStar and most recently worked as a receptionist in the information center at Greencroft Goshen. She valued the friendships she made and will be remembered as a dependable, hardworking and loyal person.

The family would like to recognize the care Lois received from Dr. Berger, the staff at Goshen Center for Cancer Care, the staff at Goshen Hospital, Goshen Home Care and  Hospice, and especially from her friend, Dr. Kio.
