Lois Rhodes, 90, of Goshen, died Wednesday, June 20 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born March 26, 1928 in Vienna, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Verna Hanlin. Mrs. Rhodes worked as a sales associate and a homemaker.
Mrs. Rhodes as a past member of the Gideon International and the Church of the Nazarene. Recently she was attending Nappanee Missionary Church.
She was a good daughter to her parents and a loving wife to her husband, Gilbert, a devoted mother to her daughter Barbara Rhodes Kusinitz of Goshen; her son, Roy (Letty) Rhodes of Goshen, grandmother to Michael and Leslie (Craig) Coffman and her two great-grandchildren, Anna and Lillian. Mrs. Rhodes is survived by two sisters, Geraldine (Donald) Pepper and Joan Lanyon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Don and Herman Hanlin.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Nappanee Missionary Church where an 11:30 a.m., funeral service will be conducted. Rev. Jason Rohde will officiate.
A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Osceola.
She was courageous in her struggle with cancer and left a testimony of her faith that affected all who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was generous and kind to all her family and friends will be sadly missed.
The family’s preferred memorial gifts are to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
