Lois M. Phares

Lois M. Phares, 95, of Goshen, died Monday afternoon, January 16, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare where she had resided the past two months.

She was born July 14, 1921 in Noble County to William and Helen (Akers) Sible.

On September 5, 1948 she married Leland Phares in Ligonier.  He died May 5, 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Ted) Dunn of Osceola; two sons, Kevin (Linda) Phares of Indianapolis and Kurt (Diane) Phares of Goshen; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Sible and a sister, Phyllis Malcolm.

Lois was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and worked as an inspector at C.T.S., Elkhart until her retirement in 1983.

Friends may call Thursday, January 19, 2016, beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.
