Lois J. Hooley

Lois J. Hooley, 76, formerly of Goshen and Arcadia, Florida, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Bethlehem Woods Healthcare, Fort Wayne. She was born January 5, 1939 in Midland, Michigan to Wilbur and Luella (Miller) Yoder. On September 12, 1959 she married David L. Hooley in Midland, Michigan. He survives along with two daughters, Jane'e (Brad) Bontrager of Shipshewana and Teresa Souers of Ft. Wayne; a son, David "Scott" (Jane) Hooley of Howe; six grandchildren, Kris (Jeannie) Bontrager, Nathan (Alicia) Hooley, Eric Hooley, Aaron Hooley, Danielle (John) Knight and Natalie Souers; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Darell (Karen) Yoder of New Metamoris, Ohio, Lynn (Judy) Yoder of Arizona and Doyle (Wendy) Yoder of Michigan. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ardice Kauffman and Marva Yoder; two brothers, Harlan and Ron Yoder; a granddaughter, Jessica Bontrager; and twin great-grandsons, Ethan and Logan Knight. Mrs. Hooley worked as a L.P.N. for Dr. Brothers in Sturgis, Michigan and Dr. Buller in Goshen, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Pine Creek Mennonite Chapel, Arcadia, Florida. According to her wishes cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Hooley, brother-in-law, will officiate. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
