Lois L. Everest, 85, of Goshen died Wednesday night, April 20, 2016 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing where she had resided the past year.
She was born February 3, 1931 in Goshen to Clarence and Edith (Swartz) Cripe.
On June 9, 1950 she married L. Ned Everest in Goshen. He died November 11, 2007 after 57 years of marriage.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Fisher of Ft. Wayne, Loneda Kreigh of Kendallville and Linda (Douglas) Kauffman of New Paris; a son, Michael Everest of Pierceton; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons-in-law, Jim Weldy and Ben Kreigh; and three brothers, Harold, Donald and Mervin Cripe.
A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Everest was a member of Rock Run Church of the Brethren and Fairfield Homemakers. She was also a 10 year 4-H member who worked with the Elkhart County Pork Producers.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, following private services.
A private burial will be at Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.
