Lloyd S. Miller

Lloyd S. Miller, 87, of Goshen died Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born May 4, 1931 in LaGrange County to the late Simon B. and Lydia (Miller) Miller.

He is survived by a son, Bruce A. (Suzan Kesim) Miller of South Bend; a daughter, Gale R. Miller Everest of Rochester; a granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Everest (Nicholas) Ornatowski of Goshen, three great-grandchildren and twins expected in early summer; and three brothers, Ora S. Miller of Utica, Ohio, Ray S. Miller of Sebring, Florida, and LeRoy S. Miller of Beckemeyer, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. (Warren) Miller, whom he married on April 18, 1954 in Mentone, and two brothers, Lester S. Miller and Olan S. Miller.

Lloyd was a skilled craftsman, avid gardener, artist and youth volunteer. He was an active member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church where he served as a youth leader. He also served as song leader for Full Gospel Church, New Paris.

Lloyd was devoted to providing opportunities for Scouting in the Goshen area. He served as a Cub Master of Pack 20, Scoutmaster of Troop 110 and District Membership Chairman, and was awarded the Award of Merit for his achievements. He was also a dedicated Campfire Cabin Chairman.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 8, and from 9 until the 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Josh Hilty, Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
