Lloyd R. Miller

Lloyd R. Miller, 90, of Goshen, died late Friday morning, January 28,2011, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in Fairview, Michigan on August 25, 1920, to the late Oliver J. and Alta Mae (Mast) Miller.  On June 30, 1943 he married Clara Irene Terwillegar in Midland, Michigan. She died August 5, 1997. He is survived by three daughters, Norene (Scott) Chesebro of Chicago, Lana (Linda) Miller of Boston, Massachusetts, and Joyce (Steve) Miller of Granger; four sons, Richard (Cheryl) Miller of Goshen, John (Vnona) Miller of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, Lynn (Darlene) Miller of Elkhart, and Philip (Jean) Miller of Chicago; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Olive Shelter of Glendale, Arizona, and Kathryn Sharick of St. Johns, Michigan. A member of College Mennonite Church he was a retired minister having served churches in Curtis, Vestaburg, Midland and Imlay City, Mich. He had lived at Greencroft since 1985. He volunteered at Greencroft and Goldenrod and was a charter member of the Evergreen Singers. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 30, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 31, 2011, funeral service will be held at College Mennonite Church.  Pastor June Alliman Yoder of College Mennonite Church and Greencroft Chaplain Dee Swartz will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Greencroft Foundation.
