Lloyd R. Hoover

Lloyd R. Hoover, 55, of Bristol, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born January 19, 1961 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Rufus and Katie (Rissler) Hoover.

On July 23, 1994 he married Peggy Silvey in Goshen.

She survives along with four children, John Wilson, Jr. of Elkhart, Travis Hoover of New Castle, Shanna Hoover of Bristol and Angela Martin of Minnesota; nine grandchildren; his father, Rufus Hoover of Clare, Michigan; and two siblings, Eva (Brian) Hoover Murdock of Cumming, Georgia and Harold (Grace) Hoover of Mechanicsburg, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Ruth Kuhr.

Lloyd worked as a truck driver for Veada Industries for 20 years.  He was an Amish van driver and from a young age was very talented with small engine repairs.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; was always willing to help someone and was known for his famous chili.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 12, noon, funeral service on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Lonnie Miller of United Bethel Mennonite Church, Plain City, Ohio will officiate.
