Lloyd Brandenberger

Lloyd Brandenberger, 82, of Goshen, died Wednesday morning, July 22, 2009, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in Middlebury, Indiana, on November 2, 1926, to Noah and Matilda (Yoder) Brandenberger.  He married Mary Jean Schrock on February 25, 1951 in Nappanee.  She died April 2, 1989. A farmer and lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Brandenberger was a member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He is survived by three daughters, Debbi (Leon) Shrock of Goshen, Jeanne Brandenberger of Elkhart and Joan (Bruce) Peterson of Amherst, Ohio; a son, Steven (Cathy) Brandenberger of Middlebury; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Bertha (Paul) Schmucker of Nappanee and Florence (Walter) Hochstedler of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his wife and three sisters, Luella Christner, Nora Dupree and Mary Schmucker. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. A 3:30 p.m., memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church.  Pastors Terry Diener and Jeff Mumaw of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church will officiate. A private graveside service for family will take place at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mennonite Central Committee.
