Lloyd Eugene Borntrager

Lloyd Eugene Borntrager, 86, of Goshen, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at his home.

He was born November 5, 1937 in Hartville, Ohio to Chris “Giddle” and Lydiann (Miller) Borntrager.

On July 6, 1958 he married Evelyn E. Miller in Shipshewana.  She died February 18, 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Borntrager of New Paris and Linda Borntrager of Goshen; a son-in-law, Dennis (Marty) Mast of Goshen; six grandchildren, Caleb (Amanda) Mast, Ethan (Jayme) Mast, Zachary (Kyla) Grass, Quinn (Lesley) Grass, Dean (Katie) Grass and Anna (Riley) Miller; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Urie Borntrager of Sarasota, Florida, Milton (Jo Ann) Borntrager of Louisville, Kentucky and Larry Borntrager of Middlebury; two sisters, Verda Vallejo of Phoenix, Arizona and Elsie Borntrager of Goshen and two sisters-in-law, Pauline and LaVerda Borntrager.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Mast and Pamela Borntrager and three brothers, Calvin, LeRoy and Ernie Borntrager.

A carpenter, Mr. Borntrager worked for D&M Construction for the life of that company, building many commercial buildings in Elkhart County.  He also worked for RPM Supply and after retirement worked at Veada.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and again Friday, November 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Siloam Fellowship, 61616 Co Rd 35, Goshen, IN 46528.

Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Adult and Teen Challenge Northern Indiana.
