Linda Marie Amstutz

Linda Marie Amstutz, 74, of New Paris, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023,  at home.

She was born May 24, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Cornelius “Neil” and Delores “Dee” (Nelis) Rourke. They preceded her in death.

On February 21, 1998, she married Norman Amstutz at the Nappanee Missionary Church.

He survives along with five siblings, Susie (Jim) Daley of Chicago, Illinois, John (Missy) Rourke of Orland Park, Illinois, Dan (Cathy) Rourke of Austin, Texas, and Mike (Peggy) Rourke and Neal (Sharon) Rourke, both of Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda studied at Illinois Wesleyan University, then Moody Bible Institute and Daley Community College. She was a writer and photographer for Pacific Garden Mission, Moody Bible Institute, Illinois Wesleyan University and Daley Community College. Linda served as an LPN with the US Army. She worked at World Missionary Press.

Linda was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church and enjoyed flower gardening and crafting.

Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate.

Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Nappanee Missionary Church for the AGC Baby Center or World Missionary Press.
