Lillian Mae Gingerich, 87, of Goshen, died Tuesday night, June 21, 2011, at her home. She had been ill the last three months. She was born May 18, 1924, in Goshen to the late Ira S. and Fannie Mae (Bender) Miller. She married John S. Gingerich on September 14, 1947 in Goshen. He died August 24, 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon (Del) Jakabosky of Olathe, Kansas; three sons, Kenneth (Karen) Gingerich of Omaha, Nebraska, Keith Gingerich of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Kermit (Karyn) Gingerich of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, K. Marion Miller of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Lewis Miller. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mrs. Gingerich attended Maple City Chapel and was a member of First Baptist Church, Elkhart. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a real prayer warrior. She had worked as a seamtress for Wieland Designs. Friends may call 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Maple City Chapel, Goshen, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted. Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
