Levi Rockenbaugh 85, of Goshen died Tuesday morning, January 8, 2013, at his home. He had been ill for several months. He was born September 15, 1927 in Noble County to Floyd and Dorothy (Chiddister) Rockenbaugh. He married Carol A. Showalter, July 6, 1947 in Millersburg. He is survived by three daughters, Anne (Mike) Pierce of Goshen, Ellen Swank of New Paris, and Mary (Jeff) Taylor of Goshen; a son, Roger (Darcie) Rockenbaugh of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Rockenbaugh of Warsaw; and a sister-in-law, Martha Rockenbaugh of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Judy; and two brothers, Howard and Calvin Rockenbaugh. Levi worked at Mogul Rubber for 45 years. He was a volunteer fireman with Clinton Township and a member at Zion Community Church, Millersburg. He enjoyed high school and college basketball; Chicago White Sox baseball; and his grandkids' sporting events. He was a friendly soul who did not know a stranger. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:30 a.m. Saturday January 12, 2013 funeral will be held at the funeral home led by Pastor Chris Howell, of Zion Community Church, Millersburg. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be directed to Goshen Home Care & Hospice.
