Levi Burkholder, 95, of Goshen died at home Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2015. He was born June 12, 1920 in Marshall County to David O. and Amanda (Stutzman) Burkholder. On October 18, 1952 he married Anna "Leota" Eash at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. She died in 2008. He is survived by two sons, Wayne J. (Claris) Burkholder and Dean C. (Rosann) Burkholder, both of Goshen; three grandchildren, Charlotte (Phil) Gran of New Paris, Eric (Katie) Burkholder of Goshen and Ashley Stout of New Paris; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Gavin and Justin Gran; three sisters, Malinda Miller of Carrier Mills, Illinois, Lilly (Jonathan) Stoltzfus of Morgantown, Pennsylvania and Iva (Daniel) Nisley of Partridge, Kansas; and a brother, David (Elva) Burkholder of Morgantown, Pennsylvania. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mabel Mast, Leona Kilmer, Tilly Haltman and Mary Belle Yoder, and three brothers, Walter, Richard and Paul Burkholder. Levi was a member of the Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church and lifelong farmer. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the church, 13483 CR 38, Goshen, where a 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 funeral service will be held. Rev. Randall Riegsecker and the home ministry will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove mission fund.
