LeRoy Franklin Fry, 82, of Elkhart, died Sunday morning, August 14, 2011, at his home. He was born in Goshen on December 26, 1928 to the late George and Eloise (Miller) Fry. He married Alice Irene Eggleston in Goshen on October 22, 1950. She preceded him in death on February 12, 1999. He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia K. (Michael) Chaney of Plymouth and Beth Ann Calhoun of Elkhart; two sons, Thomas Allen Fry and John Alexander Fry, both of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Mast of Goshen; and three brothers, Marvin (Barb) Fry and Edward (Janet) Fry, both of Goshen, and Vern (Charlene) Fry of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremey Allen Fry in 2001 and a brother, Alex Fry. A lifelong area resident, he served in the US Army from 1950-52. Mr. Fry worked many years at Kelsey Axial in Elkhart. He was an Auxiliary Policeman with the Elkhart Police Department for 10 years and a member of V.F.W. Post #88 in Elkhart. There will be no visitation. Following cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory, an 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2011, graveside service will be held at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
