Leota L. Eberhard                                                                                        Leota L. Eberhard, 85, of Warren, Indiana, and formerly of Goshen, died early Wednesday morning, June 7, 2006, at the United Methodist Home in Warren, where she had been a resident since 2003.  She had been in failing health since 2002. She was born December 29, 1920, in Wabash, Indiana, to Thurman and Laura (Schaffer) Bowman.  On August 2, 1950, in Nashua, Iowa, she married H. Ray Eberhard.  He died June 23, 1998.   She graduated from Indiana State Teachers College in 1943 and received a Masters Degree in Science and Education from Indiana University in 1949.   A Goshen resident since 1954, she taught Home Economics at Towncrest Junior High, Goshen.  She also taught in Middlebury and Churubusco.   She was a member of the New Paris United Methodist Church; Federated Women of Goshen; Eastern Star; and a charter member of the A.A.U.W.   She is survived by two nephews, Duane Davis of LaFontaine, Indiana and Ron Bowman of Colorado and a niece, Sharon Bowman of Ohio.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; a sister, Reva Davis and a brother, Russell Bowman.   Friends will be received 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 9, at the funeral home.   A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Joe Haney of Warren, Indiana, will officiate.   Burial will be in 100F Cemetery, LaFontaine, Indiana.   Memorial contributions may be made to Elkhart County Humane Society or Hospice of Northeast Indiana, Berne, Indiana.
