Leonard H. Morris, 69, of Goshen, died Friday, July 24, 2020, peacefully at home with his daughter and son at his side.
He was born July 28, 1950 in Horse Branch, Kentucky to Paul and Evelyn Morris.
On July 30, 1982 he married Marcella J. Morris in Thurman, Ohio. She died July 27, 2017.
He is survived by two children, Robert E. (Theresa) Corvin of Bristol and Jennifer L. (Gary) Miller of Goshen; eight grandchildren, Larry Allen, James, Michael, Amber, Ashley, Jessica, Karoline and Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Katlyn Marie, Clayton Michael, Skylar, Cameron, Lincoln and Maverick; a beloved granddog, Digger; four sisters, Lottie Jean (Connie) Pharris, Earlene (John) Norris, Adah Young and Imogene (Thomas) Burden; a brother, Curtis E. Young and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; a daughter, Sandra K. Kocher; grandson, Michael Corvin; brothers, WC, Gettie and Raymond Morris and sister, Lorene Young.
Mr. Morris worked many years at Monaco Coach and then retired once it was closed down. He loved and enjoyed going to church. A big-hearted man, he also loved helping people all the time and buying anything and everything, always trying to make sure he had stuff others needed.
A diehard NASCAR fan, he attended many races throughout his life. He loved being at any local racetrack and cheering on the best, in his eyes, The Maynard Boys.
Visitation, following the COVID-19 recommendations, will be Wednesday, July 29, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Ted Carroll, House of Prayer, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society.
