Leonard M. Copenhaver, 86, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 29, 2009, at his home. Leonard was born to Howard and Myrtle (Cramer) Copenhaver on December 10, 1922, in Goshen. He married Phyllis Timmons on December 12, 1942, in Goshen. His parents have preceded him in death while his wife survives. He retired from Goshen Sales and Engineering which specialized in hydrolic hoses and rubber products. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church of Goshen. He enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Brenda (Lee) Hostetler of Goshen and Wendy (Tom) Labrum of Elkhart; one son, David (Karla) Copenhaver of Elkhart; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, and one sister, Margaret Green. Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church where a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Tarner officiating. No burial of the cremains is scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made out to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
