Leo N. Seltenright

September 21, 1926 — February 2, 2015

Leo Seltenright, 88, of Goshen, passed away Monday morning, February 2, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born September 21, 1926 in Plymouth to Nelson and Nellie (Halt) Seltenright. On August 31, 1947 he married Ermadean Lee in Plymouth. She died December 6, 2014. He is survived by his son, Dan (Kathleen) Seltenright of Goshen; a granddaughter, Susan (John) McKnight of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Andrew; a brother, Homer (Jean) Seltenright of Plymouth; a sister, Arlene (Paul) Sellers of Knox and a foster sister, Mary (Bill) Crocker of Plymouth. A 1944 graduate of Lapaz High School, Leo went on to study at Purdue University where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1948 and a master's degree in 1968. He served as Cooperative Extension Director in Whitley, Kosciusko, Adams and Elkhart counties. An avid fisherman, Leo was a longtime member of the Goshen Rotary Club. Family and friends may call Friday, February 6, 2015 from 1 p.m., until the 3 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling will officiate. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Purdue Club of Elkhart County Foundation or to Friends of Elkhart County Parks.
