Leo "James" Glenn, 52, of Goshen, died at his home early Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011. He never fully recovered from open heart surgery in July. He was born in Washington D.C. on October 22, 1959, to Lila (McLeod) Glenn of Goshen and the late Leo R. Glenn. Also surviving are a sister, Pauline (Kermit) Stutzman of Middlebury; a brother, Weldon Glenn of Goshen; a nephew, Mitchell Stutzman of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and a niece, Jodi Stutzman of Middlebury. Mr. Glenn attended Northridge High School and worked in shipping and receiving for more than 25 years at Central Rubber. He was an active member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church where he served as head usher for more than 15 years, helped out with janitorial, office and grounds duties. He served as sexton for Pleasant View Cemetery. He volunteered with Pleasant View's "Senior Moments" and their American Red Cross blood drives. He also volunteered with Faith Mission, Elkhart. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, November 20, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 58529 C.R. 23, Goshen, where an 11 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, memorial service will be conducted. Pastors Ron Diener and Tyler Hartford, along with Deacon Norm Maust, will officiate. A private family burial in Pleasant View Cemetery will precede the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Mennonite Church or Center for Hospice Care.
