Lenora D. Stark, 82, of Goshen, died Thursday afternoon, March 11, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital. She had been ill the past month. She was born in Bristol on January 10, 1928, to the late Earl Mishler and Maude (Harold) Mishler Hawkins. She married Harold E. Stark on June 29, 1952, in Bristol. He preceded her on January 3, 2010. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Stark, graduated from Manchester College, taught English at Bristol High School and did substitute teaching at Towncrest Jr. High School and Goshen High School. She also worked at Kline’s Department Store, and Yoder’s Budget Shop. A golfer, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maplecrest Country Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Eastern Star in Goshen and Bristol. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Tom) Conrad, Goshen; a son, Richard (Rebecca) Stark, Houston, Tex.; three grandchildren, Susan (Joe) Miller, Goshen, Ellen (Matt) Thimons, Mishawaka, and Joshua William Stark, Houston, Tex.; and a brother, John Hawkins, Elkhart. Friends may call 9:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, at First United Methodist Church where an 11 a.m., funeral service will be conducted by Pastors Ed and Brenda Fritz and Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
