Lee Hoyt

August 29, 1935 — June 3, 2019

Lee Hoyt, 83, of Goshen died Monday, June 3, 2019 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born Aug. 29, 1935 in Petoskey, Michigan to Chester and Marian Hoyt.

On July 15, 1957 he married Alice Culp in Goshen.  She died April 24, 2010.  He later married Doris Harms on May 7, 2011 in Bristol.

She survives along with three daughters, Linda (Linden) Emery of Goshen, Teresa (Brian) Rummel of Sheridan and Jane (Mark) Johnson of Goshen; step-children, Roy (Sue) Sellers of Syracuse, Linda Sellers of Fort Wayne, Rhonda (Charlie) Cochran of Chesapeake, Virginia, Diane (Wyman) Nash of Mendon, Michigan and Dan Sellers of Wakarusa; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and first wife, Lee was preceded in death by five sisters and a grandson, Curt Johnson.

Mr. Hoyt worked as a receiver for Starcraft Marine, New Paris and local R.V. manufacturers.  He was an active Sunday School teacher at Greencroft where he also enjoyed acting and playing WII bowling.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 2 p.m. funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 7, 2019.  Pastor Mike Overpeck will officiate.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place following the service.

Memorial gifts may be given to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
