Lee Earl Ernst

Lee E. Ernst, 71, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born November 28, 1949, in Gary, to Robert and Katherine (Guth) Ernst.

On October 5, 1996, he married Debra Rogowski in Goshen.

She survives along with six children, Randy Ernst of Elkhart, Ron (Darcy) Everingham of Pine Top, Arizona, Lynette Thompson of Goshen, Ryan Hartman of Putnam, Michigan, Jon (Carley) Everingham of Syracuse and Nate (Heather) Everingham of Surprise, Arizona; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two sisters.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

His grandchildren were very special and deeply loved.  He enjoyed bowling and golfing at Maplecrest Country Club, where he was a member.

Lee worked as a technician for GTE and Verizon for 30 years.

There will be no public services.  Memorial donations may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
