Leatha D. Gresso, 59, of Union, Michigan, died at her home on Tuesday morning, September 16, 2008, after a 13 month battle with cancer. She was born in Bristol, Indiana, on July 22, 1949, to the late Leland Searfoss and Dorothy (Stoner) Searfoss of Indianapolis. She married Richmond Gresso in Goshen on October 1, 1966. He survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Gresso graduated from Goshen High school in 1968. She had served as a 4-H leader for eight years. She was a member of Jehovah Witness of Bristol. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Searfoss of Indianapolis, her husband, Richmond; a daughter, Carrie Gresso Cline of Edwardsburg, Michigan; a son, Edward (Rosemary) Gresso of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Lori and Chris Cline and Brandon and Matthew Gresso; a sister, Lora (Warren) Gorsuch, Sr. of Goshen; and a brother, Luther (Rose) Searfoss of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her father in 1999, and a sister, Leota Searfoss in 2002. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 19, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. A 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
