Leah P. Beachy, 65, of Goshen, died Friday afternoon, November 28, 2008, at her home. She was born on June 18, 1943, in Plain City, Ohio, to the late Neil E. Beachy and Emma (Kramer) Miller. Ms. Beachy moved to Goshen in 2006, coming from Minneapolis where she had lived for more than 40 years.  She was a Medical Records Librarian for Medica Corporation in Minneapolis where she worked as supervisor of credentialing. She graduated valedictorian from Bethany Christian High School in 1960.  A 1964 graduate of Goshen College with a degree in social work, Ms. Beachy went on to early her MRT (medical records technician) certification in Danville, Illinois.  She volunteered at Greencroft, Bethany Christian Schools and the Cancer Center of Goshen General Hospital. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Emma and George Miller of Goshen; a sister, Veronica (Wayne) Denlinger of Bay Village, Ohio; and four brothers, Roger (Terry) Beachy of St. Louis, Missouri, Phillip (Jan) Beachy of Auburn, Washington, Kenneth Beachy of Bremen, Indiana, and Jeffrey (Margaret) Beachy of West Linn, Oregon. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 20 in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, Goshen. An 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be held in the Koinonia Room on Saturday, December 20, 2008.  Pastors Betty Hochstetler and Gary Martin will officiate. Her cremains will be scattered in the Scattering Garden at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.
