(Laura) Pauline (Herschberger) Schrock, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, in the residence of her daughter, Donna Jones of Shipshewana.
She was born September 17, 1930 in Elkhart County to Eli A. and Alma (Miller) Herschberger.
She was a resident of New Paris since the day of her marriage, April 1, 1950, to Erie Schrock, who passed away September 4, 2012. Pauline was a resident of Waterford Crossing Assisted Living for six years and for the past seven months had been living with her daughters.
Pauline is survived by five children, Omer (Treva) Schrock of New Paris, Linda (Mark) Martin of Nappanee, Donna (Alan) Jones of Shipshewana, John (Judy) Schrock of New Paris, Elsie (Dale) Swartzentruber of Nappanee; daughter-in-law, Barb (Ezra) Mast of Goshen; 21 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild and a sister, Mary Alice Yoder, Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erie; son, Dale; daughter, Rita; great-grandson, Ezekiel Jones; parents and siblings, Ida Mae Lehman, Perry Herschberger, Omer Herschberger, Perry Herschberger, Fannie Kauffman and Lavina Miller.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church, Millersburg for more than 50 years. Pauline was an excellent cook and was known for her kind hospitality, her delicious pies and pan-fried chicken was enjoyed by many. She enjoyed quilting, piecing quilts and attending the church sewing circle. Pauline and Erie were poultry farmers for many years.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 8 from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service at Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church, 13483 CR 38, Goshen. Pastor Randall Riegsecker will officiate.
Burial will be private.
