Laura Ann Martin, 77, of Goshen died peacefully Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born May 12, 1941 in Goshen to George and Helen (Schrock) Hetler.
On October 29, 1971 she married Virgil Martin at Trinity Lutheran Church, now known as Faith Lutheran, Goshen. He died August 30, 2011.
Survivors include six daughters, Lisa (Barry) Younghans, Libby (Jim) Morrical, Julie (Bodie) Stegelmann, Michelle (Steve) Kercher, and Janet (Jerry) Hershberger, all of Goshen and Peggy Magers of Wakarusa; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Philip Keidaish, Jr.; a brother, Richard A. Hetler, Sr.; a son-in-law, Kevin Magers; a granddaughter, Heidi Hershberger; and a great-granddaughter, Jasmine Hershberger.
Laura Ann was a 1959 graduate of Goshen High School and active member of Faith Lutheran Church. She served on the Goshen Hospital Foundation Board, Schrock Nursing Loan Committee, and the Goshen City Cemetery Board.
Along with being a loving homemaker and mother, she was a faithful volunteer to her church and local schools, reading in classrooms and attending countless music and athletic events in support of her grandchildren. Laura Ann was an avid reader and created fond memories for family and friends playing cards and board games in her home.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Greene Road, Goshen, where a 1:30 p.m. funeral service will be conducted, Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Pastors John Hickey and Jessica King will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
