Laura M. LaFary, 80, of Goshen died late Sunday morning, July 26, 2009, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri on July 26, 1929, to Charles and Pansy (Jones) Hankins. She married Robert LaFary on September 20, 1947, in Goshen. He survives. A Goshen resident since 1947, Mrs. LaFary worked as an X-ray technician; and was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and the Goshen VFW Auxilary. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Roberta (Quentin) Williams of Goshen; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine (Vern) Noon of Denver, Colorado, and Jerry White of Missouri; and a brother, Joel (Shirley) Hankins of Soldotna, Alaska. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Farnsworth and Evelyn Davis; and two brothers, Fredrick and Ralph Hankins. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 1, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen.
