Larry Gene Wood, 64, of Romulus, Michigan, died early Saturday morning, September 27, 2008, at Oakwood Heritage Hospital in Taylor, Michigan. He was born on February 26, 1944, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Cyril and Eileen (Mitchell) Wood. He married Kirsten Wood of Goshen in 1962; Rhonda VanLan of Greenbay, Wisconsin in 1984 and Joyce (Elmer) Wood of Romulus, Michigan in 1998. Mr. Wood worked as a Dealer Relations Manager for Liberty Homes in Goshen. He also owned a mobile home park, Cherry Land, in Shelby, Michigan. He was a lifetime member of the Optimist Club and a former member of the Goshen JayCees. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; former wives, Kirsten Wood and Rhonda VanLan; a son, Mike (Bobbi) Wood of Goshen; two daughters, Jodi (Craig) Gregory of Goshen, and Christine E. Wood; two step-daughters, Heather Hurst and Laura (Doug) Williams; three step-sons, Scott (Cindy) Styrk, Jeff (Bonnie) Styrk, and Daryl Styrk; six grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Roxanne Dye, and two brothers, Richard and Jeff Schultz, all of Menomomie, Wisconsin. His body will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at his birthplace in Menomonie, Wisconsin, at a later date.
