Larry Dean Sult, 67, of Syracuse, died Saturday afternoon, August 25, 2012, at IU Medical Center, Indianapolis where he had been since August 16. He was born in South Bend to Harley E. and Ethel (Lambert) Sult. He married Gloria So on October 27, 1995. She survives, along with a son, Edward Dean (Stacy) Sult of Leesburg; a stepson, Kenneth (Stacy) Clore of Elkhart; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Amanda (Robert) Sternitzke of New Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Larry Dean Sult. A 1963 of New Carlisle High School, Larry served four years with the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Alaska. He worked as a machinist at Zimmer for more 20 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday, August 29, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. An 11 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Knauff, Jr. and Russell Snyder of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, South Bend, officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
