Larry Alan Priem, 84, of Goshen, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born November 15, 1937 in Elkhart to Arnold and Constance (Emery) Priem.

He married Sandra “Sandy” Warlick on January 9, 1960.

Along with his wife he is survived by three children, Stephen (Stephanie) Priem of Bristol, Kyle (Cheryl) Priem of Goshen and Alex (Donna) Priem of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Andrew, Jake, Tyler, Wesley and Carlee; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Sue) Priem of Tucson, Arizona and a sister, Marlies Chiddister of Martinez, California.

Larry was a 1956 Jefferson School graduate and continued his education at Tri State University (Trine) where he received his bachelor’s degree. Larry retired in 1996 from McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Company. He was an aeronautical engineer in the stress testing lab where he was involved in the 1 st Space Program, fighter jets and missiles. He was involved in North Hills United Methodist Church, St. Louis Missouri, Immanuel United Church of Christ, Ferguson, Missouri and attended First United Methodist Church, Goshen.

A 2:00 p.m. memorial service will take place Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Associate Pastor Diana Siegel, First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

A burial will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery at a later time.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
