Larry A. Mast

Larry A. Mast, 76, of Goshen, died Friday, October 23, 2020, at Courtyard Healthcare where he had been since March.

He was born December 5, 1943 in Goshen to Christ T. and Edna (Schmucker) Mast.

On September 27, 1980 he married Katie Hershberger.

She survives along with a son, David Lee Mast of South Bend; brothers Walter “Wally” Mast of Goshen and Norman “Norm” (Miriam) Mast of Middlebury and sisters, Miriam (John) Reist of Prior, Oklahoma and Ruth Hunt of Mishawaka.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Lamar and Omar Mast; sister-in-law, Susan Reist Mast and nephew Jason Mast.

A wonderfully loving husband and father, Larry, enjoyed helping people and did a lot of volunteering.  A work-oriented man, Larry drove truck for Fidler’s for almost 35 years.  He enjoyed being in nature, travelling and music.

Larry’s spirit was full of peace and joy due to his relationship with the Lord.

Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2020, from 12, noon, until the 1:30 funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastors Merle Hostetler and Naomi Yoder of East Goshen Mennonite Church, where he was a member, will officiate.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Shalom Mennonite Fellowship, 6044 E. 30 ^th St., Tucson, AZ 85711to help with their immigrant ministry.

Mrs. Mast and Yoder-Culp requests masks be worn by all when attending the visitation and funeral service.
