Larry R. Martin, 65, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, January 19, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital following surgery on Thursday. He was born in Coldwater, Michigan, on January 31, 1942, to the late Ross and Marion (Wieringa) Martin. He married Bonnie Bonell on June 17, 1972 in Livonia, Michigan. She survives. A 1960 graduate of Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville, Michigan, he moved to Goshen in 1990. He worked as a general manager for Ligonier Metal Fabricating until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen, and the Knights of Columbus. He loved golf and mowed at Black Squirrel Golf Course, Goshen. He also enjoyed go kart racing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; four daughters, Teresa (Kevin) Smith of Dallas, Texas, Lisabeth (David) Lassiter of Tucson, Arizona, Erikca Martin of Syraucse and Lindset Martin of Oak Park, Illinois; six grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Whiteney of Middleville, Michigan; two brothers, Dennis (Patricia) Martin of Decatur, Arkansas and Doug (Sharon) Martin of Meridian, Colorada; and a brother-in-law, Brian (Paula) Bonell of Englewood, Colorado. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 21 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 22 at Beeler Funeral Home in Middleville, Michigan. A 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2008 will be conducted at St. Cyrial and Methodius Catholic Church in Wayland, Michigan. Father Christian Johnston of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Middleville, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be given to the Donor's Choice.
