Larry H. Fisher, 73, of Goshen, passed away early Saturday morning, April 11, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital after a six year battle with cancer. He was born November 18, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia to Arthur and Ethel (Duty) Fisher. On June 19, 1964 he married JoAn Leslie Roe in Elkhart. She died May 12, 2013. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Ed) Garcia of Elkhart; a son, Scott (Jodi) Fisher of Goshen; five grandchildren, Ian, Devynn and Christian Fisher and Gabe and Emanuel "Manny" Garcia; and a sister, Sue (Harold) Smith of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a sister, Betty Thorn; two brothers, Jack and John "Bud" Fisher; and his mother-in-law, Mary Jo Luke. A long time area resident, Larry worked at Foamcraft until retiring in 2013. He enjoyed Notre Dame football, Indiana University basketball, reading and spending time with his family and grandchildren. The Fisher family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Kio and the loving and caring staff of Goshen Center for Cancer Care for their support during Larry's treatment. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. The family invites you to join them for a time of fellowship, laughter, and sharing as they celebrate Larry's life on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Open Door Center in Bristol, at the corner of State Road 120 and State Road 15. Parking is on the south side of the building. Visit with family and friends from 2 to until the 3 p.m. Celebration of Life Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
