Larry W. Ellis

Larry W. Ellis, 84, of Goshen died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Waterford Crossing Health Center.

He was born June 26, 1940 in Logansport to Delores C. and Laura L. (Pratt) Ellis.

Larry married Phyllis Neff on August 30, 1959 in Logansport. She passed away on April 25, 2024.

Surviving are daughters Brenda (Mitch) Chrisman of Bristol and Kathleen Ellis of Goshen; sons Michael Ellis of Goshen, and Larry “Joe” (Sonya) Ellis of Middlebury; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Brian Ellis, sisters Alice Bolen and Elizabeth Eckman, and brothers Delores C. Jr., Richard, and Francis Ellis.

Larry worked as a Field Supervisor and oversaw the construction and remodeling projects of several of the local schools. He also helped oversee the construction of various airports and commercial buildings in and outside of the community.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Father Matthew Wade from St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Goshen, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery, Goshen.
