Larry E. Elliott

Larry E. Elliott, 70, of Goshen, died on Monday morning, June 9, 2008, at his home, a home that he built when he was 18 years old, after an extended illness. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio, on July 4, 1937, to Frederick and Lena (Saylor) Elliott.  He married Lois Schroeder on February 17, 1960, in Warsaw.  She survives. A 1956 graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Elliott retired from Coachman Industries after 25 years.  He then worked part time at Turtle Top in Goshen.  Mr. Elliott served in the Indiana National Guard and did volunteer work with the DAV and VFW. He is survived by his wife, Lois; two sons, Edward “Bob” (Anna) Elliott of Kentucky, and Fred (Laura) Elliott of Leesburg; two daughters, Theresa Ann (Mike) Harris and Gail Gans, both of Goshen; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 4:00 p.m.  Warren Swartz, DAV Chaplain will officiate.  His body will be cremated and burial will be in Ohio at a later date.
