Larry Eugene Burkhead

Larry E. Burkhead                                                                                        Larry Eugene Burkhead, 70, of Goshen, died early Monday morning, May 8, 2006, at his home.  He had been ill since April 12. He was born April 11, 1936, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Chester and Eula (Kurtz) Burkhead.  On July 6, 1957, he married Linda Stump in Sturgis, Michigan.  She survives.   A lifelong resident of the county, Mr. Burkhead delivered motor homes and worked as a security guard.    He was a US Army veteran and enjoyed NASCAR and doing TV Guide crossword puzzles.   Mr. Burkhead is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter, Connie (Carlton, Sr.) Ohaver of Elkhart; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mona (Larry) Gibson of Dallas, Texas and Rebecca (Terry) Weirick of Goshen.   Friends may call 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 9, and 10 to 11 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home.   An 11:00 am service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 10, 2006.   Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be given to the Burkhead family or to Goshen Hospice.
